BEING A REAL LEADER!

People are amazing creatures because of their wisdom and skills.Now they can manage to do lots of things which was thought as impossible in the past.Everyone can do or achieve everyhing,in fact.But still, some virtues like being a leader are special for some talented people.

To pioneer for people is one of the most delicate and important works on Earth. Because,it requires a lot of qualities at the same time.Its necessities are countless and these facts make harder this work.

A leader must be open-minded and in this way he/she must be renewed according to developments and the era.He/she must predict some possible events or changes in the world by means of prevision so as to take precautions in advance.He/she must be patient and if some obstacles come on the scene,he/she shouldn’t give up.He/she must keep on struggling come what may!She/he must be skillful for interacting with people easily.In order to express himself/herself,he/she must have an effective style.Besides these,there must be a consistency between his/her remarks and attitudes.He/she must set a good example for others.He must be hardworking and enterprising to improve.When necessary,he/she must be able to question herself/himself objectively.In addition,he/she must pay respect to everyone’s thoughts and feelings.However,the most important one is honesty,I think.Since eras,the whole people in the world have been suffering from the lack of this virtue.Leaders are liers in all corners of the world,unfortunately.For us,to live in a better world depends on this in my opinion!!!

UNDER THE SNOW!

While breathing,we overlook this truth; ”We are living!”.Time is passing,our life span is running out day by day.Most of us forget the value of life which is a God given gift for all humankind.In our daily lives,certain respensibilities and expectations make our lives insuperable as if we were wedged in cages.Sometimes surviving under these circumstances get harder and harder.Unforeseen obstacles can block our way suddenly. We can be in despair owing to these difficulties.There can be no other chance to begin to make head against them with a steady will power.Anyway,our leading role is that: to be able to cope with them as a person who has a strong personality.However,we can feel weak and desperate despite our real power inside and we look for some ones or some things in order to obtain enough support. Nevertheless, this search is useless!Here! At that point, the first thing we must do is looking at the sky and being aware of what is happening around us.In this way, we can notice some vital signs such as seasons and their unique ravishment.For instance, I woke up in a snowy morning.The scenery was enchanting especially trees whose arms were full of snow masses.They reminded me of an old woman who is having difficulty in carrying her bags.Snow covered everywhere and obscured everything.I thought that perhaps the world would be more beautiful if each time a miraculous thing camouflaged its shames and devilry!!!

TO BE ABLE TO LIVE!

''Yaşadıklarımdan Öğrendiğim Bir Şey Var'' is a poem which was written by Ataol Behramoğlu.This time,I want to mention it, because it is one of my favourite poems and tells so many things perfectly in lines.

Its main subject is ''LIFE'' as you can understand by looking at its title.It emphasizes the truths of life and being able to live in the literal sense!According to poet, our lifetime is limited and we must make the most of it by being aware of its unique value.In fact, we have no much time and its worth is increasing while time passes fast.Day by day, we get older and every day is a very precious present for us to spend efficiently.Otherwise, regrets will be inevitable! Ataol Behramoğlu takes notice of individual improvement by highlighting the significance of witnessing to different cultures and traditions, seeing distinct cities and especially reading.In order to be able to say ''I lived and now I can die with contentment'', we must know our existence's value and live a life which is away from wishes.

Whenever I read this poem, these thoughts surrounds me and I begin to thinking off my life and my future also.Come what may,I know this fact;we must live a full life in order not to regret later.In this way,we can die in peace!!!

MYSTERIOUS EVENTS ON EARTH

***The map which see the future

Piri Reis,famous turk sailor, was drown a map in 1513 which shows Africa,America and South Pole.Later, it came out in 1929 and muddled things up,because, the discovery of the South Pole became real in 1818.

***The oldest battery in the world

In 1938,two thousand-year-old battery was found by German archaeologist Wilhelm Konig in the immediate vicinity of Baghdad.This was a big surprise for scientists and it casted a shadow on Alessandro Volta who was known as the inventor of battery in 1800s.

***The city whose construction lasted 1000 years

Nan Madol is an archaic city which was built nearby the Mikronesia Island in the Pacific Ocean.Enormous basalt blocs were used in its long construction process.It connects between 100 artificial islands by means of canals.How they could bring so much of basalt there is still a mystery.

***A landing strip for aliens

Some motifs which was drown on the 450km'2 coast of Pampa in Peru lays out some animal and plant pictures that spans between B.C. 300 and A.D. 600.Scientists predicted that its architect was the civilization of Nazca and also it is a controversy about it.According to some people, these motifs forms a landing strip for aliens!

***The secret of the hammer

The hammer having a wooden handle and iron knob was found in Texas in 1936.It was buried in a rock which was about 400 or 500 years old.It was a modern hammer,so how it could stay in a prehistory rock is a secret!

FOUR CANDLES:)

Four candles were burning slowly...Everywhere was so quiet that you could hear their conversations.The first candle said that ''I am PEACE...Nobody helps me to burn.I think I will go out soon.'' Its flame reduced and it went out finally.The second candle uttered that ''I am FIDELITY.Unfortunately,anymore I am not indispensable.There is no need to burn.Because,it doesn't mean anything for humankind.''When it stopped talking,it went out silently by means of a breeze.Later, the third candle chimed in: ''I am LOVE.I have no more strength left.Because, all people forgot me and they didn't notice my value.'' Shortly after these words,it went out in lament.Suddenly,a little boy entered the room and saw the candles.He asked why they aren't burning in deep waters.He continued:'' You had to burn to the end of time.'' Then, he began to cry...At that point, the fourth candle began to talk.'' Don't afraid...As long as I have enough spark, we can light the others together.I am HOPE...'' The boy took the candle of hope and lit all other candles one by one...

Hope brightens our path of life.Therefore; we must always carry a piece of it in our pocket so as not to vanish in deep darknesses!!!

ANNA KARENINA by Lev TOLSTOY

This novel is one of my favourite books.It is one of the masterpieces of Tolstoy.It is known as the best novel in a list which was formed by 125 different writers.
It basically mentions affairs which is lived in Russia’s elite society in 19th century.A woman who is unfaithful to her husband,Anna Karenina,and her experiences form the main topic of the book.In addition to Anna’s story,some artificial relationships come into the picture in this novel.They are criticised by Tolstoy.Most points of our lives which are overlooked are uncovered effectively.''HAPPY FAMILIES ARE ALL ALIKE;EVERY UNHAPPY FAMILY IS UNHAPPY IN ITS OWN WAY…''This is the initial sentence of the novel.It sums up the novel actually.Is having a solid family better than looking for adventures?Must we control ourselves come what may and go on being logical?When we are about to make a decision,do we always think its results in advance?For me,their answers are ''yes''.Otherwise,our lives can be overwhelmed suddenly!

This book helps us question our choices.Because,our preferences determines the flawing of the river of life!

THREE MONKEYS

As you all know,Three Monkeys is on the agenda nowadays thanks to its victory in Cannes Film Festival.There, Nuri Bilge Ceylan was awarded as The Best Director with this work and the film was appreciated by esteemed film critics.After his winning, Nuri Bilge Ceylan made an unforgettable speech.He said that ''I would like to dedicate the prize; to my lonely and beautiful country which I love passionately.'' This sentence summed up everything.There was no more words to say!I think that he is excellent!
Last Wednesday,I went to cinema excitedly to watch this movie.With a single word,it was great!I liked every detail about the film.Yavuz Bingöl's performance was incredible.Hatice Aslan and other players were wonderful,too.They played their roles so perfect that we feel as if the happenings were real.Especially some scenes (for example,in the end) in the movie were so impressive and they reflected the success of the director.I can use the whole positive adjectives in order to explain my admiration,but I must be brief:) It is a masterpiece for cinema,I think.It tells us our deficiencies,isolation in life and cowardice which we never admit.We always choose the easiest way by not seeing, not hearing and not talking , but unfortunately to ignore doesn't change the truths!!!

DIOGENES:)

Diogenes was a Greek philosopher who was born in Sinop about 412 BC and died in 323 BC.He had some basic principles such as self-sufficiency and plainness.He believed that all necessaries to be happy was our inside,so he never took notice of having dresses or belongings.Once,he saw a child who was drinking water from a fountain and broke his jug by throwing.Because,it was useless.His home was a barrel.He was a great sapient and set a high value on wisdom.His effort in order to find ''an honest man'' in the streets of Athens is told like a legend.Some anecdotes related to him;
***One day,Diogenes came across a conceited man on the road.There was no chance to go beyond until one of them drawback.The conceited rich man said ''I never make way to a poor beggar.''Diogenes stood aside calmly and gave this answer; ''I make way!!!''
***Alexander the Great came to visit there and everybody was in a hurry for preparations. However,Diogenes didn't pay any attention to them.Finally, Alexander the Great came and asked if there was any boon he might do for him.Diogenes responded:''Yes.Stand out of my sunlight!''He also said ''You don't deny me a thing which you can never give me.'' by pointing out the sun.After this dialogue,Alexander expressed with appreciation: ''If I weren't Alexander the Great,I would want to be Diogenes.''

VINCENT VAN GOGH

Vincent Willem van Gogh was one of the most well-known artists all over the world.His some paintings and esquisses are among the most expensive works of art.

Vincent van Gogh was born in 1853 in the Netherlands.He experienced a problematic childhood and described it as ''bleak and barren'' after years.His life was full of emotional waves and changes,so he never had a stable scale of living.For example, jobs which he had were very different from each other like teaching,missionary work.In Paris, he began to be interested in art after he had been influenced by impressionism.First, he used dark and gloomy colours in his paintings but later he changed that attitude and made use of animated colours.In this way, he created his own unique style.Unfortunately, he never had a happy-ending story of love.Whenever he fell in love with a woman,he was rejected.For instance, his discovert cousine refused his offer of marriage in a harsh manner.His love turned into an obsession for him and he insisted on it.One day, he said that ''I want to see her as long as I put my hand on the fire...'' by lighting a candle.Afterwards, he had relations with Sien who was a woman with two children and this wasn't approved by Van Gogh's family.Due to these pressures,he had to break up with her.Since then, he devoted himself to painting and he formed his first important work;De Aardappeleters in the spring of 1885.In his works, the intensity of yellow is a noteworthy point and it is estimated that the reason behind it is his malfunction of sight which came up because of mulnutrition and absinth he drank too much.

Van Gogh and Paul Gauguin were good friends and they used to have discussions about art techniques and perceptions.When one day Gauguin left home angrily,he thought that Gauguin would put an end to this relationship and he cut off his ear.As it can be understood,he had some psychological matters.Finally, he committed suicide by shooting himself in the heart in 1890.His last words were ''My misfortune lasts to the end of time.''

Our little hero was sleeping in peace that night.As usual,he put his arms around his BABY bear under the blanket.That teddy was his best FRIEND.Because,all of his peers thought that Atasis was a mad boy.Whenever he went to school by wearing his long COAT which was like a cloak and with his WAND,everyone in the classroom was laughing at him.There was no difference in that morning.As soon as he entered the class,others' play began.They hid his BOOKS, NOTEBOOKS,BAG and GLASSES in the break time.Later,they wanted him to find his belongings. He tried to hopelessly,but he couldn't...Again,he was spending terrible day...On the school bus,his SEAT was full again and he had to stand...He was fed up with this situation anymore.He returned to home in tears and made a decision.Atasis would prove that he was a skillful magician.He began attempts...First of all,he tried to turn a TROMBONE into a HEADPHONE.This was unsuccessful!Then,he wanted to make a MOBILE PHONE from a MOUSE.This was a failure,too! In the meantime, the sun set and the sky became dark...He was watching the sky which was full of bright stars.Suddenly,he saw a falling-star and made a wish.A few minutes later, a great light wave appeared near the window which was enriched FLOWERs.He was shocked.An UFO was there and a cute alien was smiling...He opened his COMPUTER and took a photo of them by means of webcam.His wish became real finally......

IF YOU DON'T BECOME....

''If you don't become a street,become a path! or if you don't become the sun,become a star!'' says Douglas MALLOCH in one of his poems.He is absolutely right,isn't he?

People want to be very rich and they want to own effulgent jobs,homes,cars etc. Eveyone always wants more and more...Therefore,when you look around,you can easily see unhappy and discontented people.They make life unbearable due to their gorgeous desires...Instead of this,they must learn how to be content with little things.For instance,a bar of chocolate makes me feel good or walking in the rain can put a smile on my face.I mean,everybody doesn't have to have the bests or to be the best one.( Still,these are subjective concepts.Because my best doesn't mean the same for any person.As a result,competing with others in that area is so nonsense I think. )These ambitions give rise to disasters for people. Because,unfortunately,they are impossible to fulfill!Hence, to have a life in peace doesn't require such things.We must be aware of this fact.As long as doing our bests and knowing ourselves,we can be happy by becoming a little path or a small star!

LIVE IS LIFE!

While walking in our life paths,we all experience some unexpected and unforgettable events.These happening can be called ''little plays of the world''.Because of them or perhaps I can say thanks to them,life is full of surprises! For example,every day is a new surprise for us.We wake up by letting the sunshine in.We open the window and take some fresh air which means LIFE.Every breath involve us living.When looking around from our window,we see some birds singing as if they wanted to whisper us some hidden truths of life or may be some clues related to the oncoming day.But unfortunately,we can't understand what they say.Therefore,we have to find the secret of life on our own and then our struggle begins.We try to solve the knots of world,some of which make our lives much more difficult.To overcome can be too hard sometimes.Still,life provides us countless chances.Sometimes it brings us beautiful surprises,also.When they come to us,we must catch them so as not to regret later.Because,throughout our lives we miss a lot of opportunities which may affect our entire life.As a result,we have to live with this knife edge or sorrow.Therefore,we must be aware of the river of life and its flowing.Instead of only watching it as an viewer,we must act in the lead role of our life play!BECAUSE,LIFE WILL NEVER COME BACK..IT IS OUR TURN NOW!!!

ÜÇ DESTAN:)

In the last Tuesday evening,I went to ''ÜÇ DESTAN'' which is a narration with music.I was so impressed that I would like to mention of this immediately.That was the most fascinating performance I had ever seen certainly.It includes three cardinal battles in Turkish history and so these wars which are real legends give their names to the show.They are battles of Gallipoli,Sakarya and Dumlupınar that have unique places in the process of gaining our independence.Yıldız Kenter and her brother Müşvik Kenter are narrators of the story which was written by Turgut Özakman.Both of them were excellent with their styles and glamorous performances!They proved again that they are real artists with the exact meaning!They deserve everything!Besides them,the orchestra of opera and ballet of government was on the stage and the whole of them were perfect,too.They played and sang all songs in an incredible tune.The music of it was composed by Muammer Sun.I liked it so much that I didn't want to leave there even when it was over.We brought down the house for minutes.By the way,Ahmet Necdet SEZER anh his wife Semra SEZER came to watch.That was an unforgettable night for me!

OUR NATURE IS DYING!!!

Global warming is going on menacing our lives.Its destructive impacts on us are getting bigger and bigger.Nowadays,a new research has pointed out that at the poles,the rate of methane which is twenty times as harmful as carbon dioxide is threatening our world.Especially, at the North Pole, glaciers are melting very fast and as a result of this,a big danger is on the corner.Megatons of methane gases are spreading into the atmosphere.Scientists think that methane is responsible for drastic changes in climates.Besides this,the reason behind the mass immigration of some living creatures is this extreme release.Experts who made an intensive study of this subject in the north coastline of Russia reaches alarming results.Some solid methane layers were found off the coast of Siberia and they have abnormal measurings than usual.

Our nature is dying.But we are doing nothing to save it.This insensitivity will become our end.We are preparing this disaster with our own hands!!It is madness!!!

GEORGE CLOONEY:)))

This time,I want to tell you some things about George Clooney who is my favourite actor.Let's start!
George Clooney was born on 6th May in 1962 in Kentucky which is a National State of America.He attended William Mason High School but he graduated from Augusta High School:)In those days,he was interested in baseball instead of lessons!Then,he enrolled at Northern Kentucky University but when he decided on becoming an actor,he dropped out of this school.But he didn't give up.To achieve this aim,he took lessons for acting in Milton Katselas.And shortly after that,he got his desert and award of his efforts.
His first step in order to be a star became true with the help of Miguel Ferrer.In the beginning,he acted in small roles.His most important rise came into being with a soup opera called ''ER''.He was selected as ''Dr.Doug ROSS'' and he carried on with this role from 1994 to 2000.He was a reason for most people to watch this soup opera.In this way,he became a star!!!Later,his successes followed each other.He was awarded with ''Screen Actors Guild'' in 1995,1996,1997 and 1998 for his role in ''ER''.In 2000,his musical ''O Brother,Where Art You?'' brought him a Golden Globe.He was chosen ''The Best Actor''.And then,of course OSCAR...In 2005,he was nominated for Oscar for ''The Best Director,The Best Original Script and The Best Supporting Actor'' with ''Goog Night And Good Luck''.In these categories,he was also a nominee of BAFTA and Golden Globe.But in the same year,he won Oscar with his role in ''Syriana'' .That was a politic film which criticise American Government's policy in Iraq,so he was exposed to some harsh reviews.But he did his work and advocated his own truths come what may!He broke new ground with these nominations and Oscar.This was so unusual in Hollywood.
Besides acting,he is also a director.He has a company,so he is a producer at the same time.I can easily say ''He is an incredible man''.In addition to these,he has a perfect personality.He loves helping unjustly treated people.For instance,he and his journalist father shot a documentary in Sudan for the sake of drawing attention to people's struggle so as to survive.And now,he is the Ambassador of Peace in United Nations.He deserves this honour very much:))

This photograph was taken by my teacher,too.Here is Sinop,my hometown:)There are two men in the middle of Black Sea.They are alone there and trying to do some things.May be they are fishermen,so they only want to fish and make money.May be their only aim is to relax by running away from worries and fears of life.The man standing is as if he was picking up sunlights from the sea with the help of his net.In the other side,the sun meets sea and they are dancing in tune together.The sea is full of glitters like fireflies.They are moving according to the streams and they have no aims.They are absolutely free.This is freedom's picture,I think.

This photograph belongs to my Biology Teacher in High School.It expresses so much emotion and many thoughts for me.These wrinkled hands tells us about years and getting older and older.In fact,it brings passing of time into the open.Unfortunately,time is like a river which flows very fast.While rolling,it takes away somethings from us,at the same time it brings experiences in armfuls to us.In this way,we learn the facts of life.Our choices determines our path on Earth.May be this old woman is regretful about her life.May be she lost some opportunities in the past and now she has wishes.By looking at the clock,perhaps she is thinking off her life's inevitable end.On the contrary,she may think her beautiful memories and thanks to life gratefully.May be her life was perfect and now she doesn't afraid of its end.Because,anyway she lived flawlessly and there is nothing left to do.Nobody knows!!!

WHY DO I WANT TO BECOME A TEACHER?

Perhaps,this will be the most important question for the rest of my life.I am considering about it and I am asking myself.Every time I find the same answer,''Because,it is my dream.''

Since my childhood,I have been dreaming of teaching.My all plays were about it.''I enter the classroom and greet with my students.We all smile at each other:)Later I call the roll and start the lesson.They begin to raise hands.And so on...

In my childish world,this play makes me feel happy:)

As you all know,adults ask children what they will be when they grow up and my answer was apparent years ago.I think,I already made the correct decision in those years.But why?

In our family,there is a lot of teachers.The closest example is my father.He was a teacher actually.Therefore,I think this tendency may be related to my genetic codes:)But when it comes to my real reasons,I think my teachers have leading parts.I was so lucky in terms of my unique teachers.(I don't want to use ''Past Simple'' in fact,because I still have strong relationshipswith them and this will go on:)I love this job with the help of them.I will be an English teacher but I learned a lot of things from my Geography Teacher for example.And of course from the others...Besides lessons,they learned me everything about the world.By courtesy of them,I learned the conception of freedom and I became an independent person.I learned the facts of life and advocating my truths come what may!I learned having a mighty personality and attaching value to the whole things on Earth.Now I am trying to learn teaching all of these to my students.I want to be their guide.In this way,may be they will say ''I chose being a teacher thanks to my teacher(me:)'' in the future.Anymore my only aim is to fulfill this dream!

THE OWNER OF OLYMPOS: ZEUS!

In Greek Mythology,he is named as ''the only owner of Olympos''.His symbols are lightning,eagle and oak tree.He is the god of sky,lightning and thunder. Generally,he is depicted with a lightning in his hands.He is very famous as a result of this,he has many legends.One of them:

Gaia,the titans' mother, knew in advance that when Zeus was born,he would be abhorrent to titans.Therefore,she gave an order to her second son,Kronos who was the father of Zeus,to kill his own son,Zeus.Kronos told this to Rheia,Zeus' mother, and she promised to give her son to them.After Zeus' birth,she abdicated and commanded Zeus to an eagle's care.Instead of Zeus,Rheia gave a rock which was surounded by a piece of cloth to Kronos.In this way she tricked him.Because of this event,Gaia killed her son,Kronos.In the meantime,Zeus grew up and began hostilities to titans.He saved his mother and brothers,Hades and Poseidon.Because they were captures of Kronos.At the time of war,Zeus slaved titans by seizing their souls.But ATLAS,the biggest of titans,heard these happenings and saved his mother and 4 brothers from this captivity like Zeus.Therefore,Zeus caught his soul and sentenced him to carrying the world to the end of time.(Now,it is the symbol of ATLAS magazine.)Other titans began to live in a safe place under the ground.Gaia wanted to revenge from Zeus.So as to do this,she commissioned his son,Promethus, to steal the fire of life from Olympos.Promethus achieved this and Gaia vitalized human being by means of this fire.Gaia tried to provoke mankind against Zeus.But they worshipped Zeus!Consequently,she failed again!!!

MUSIC IS REAL REMEDY FOR SOUL!

Among people's interests,music has a different importance because of its countless benefits.It affects people and their behaviours all over the world ,so we can say that ''Music is universal.''
It has important effects on the development of brain especially for babies.This is based on scientific facts.If a baby begin to listen to music before birth,later he or she behaves in tune instead of behaving harshly.After birth,while listening to music,they perceive melody and rythm and react to them slowly.These animations provide them the improvement of muscles.Language can be enhanced with the help of music.Moreover,their ears are accustomed to hear and listen effectively.Due to refreshing impact,it can be very useful for therapy.In order to get rid of daily life's stress and relax, it will be the first choice for adults.
To sum up,music is real medicine for our spirit whoever we are or how old we are!!!

SALVADOR DALİ

We all know Salvador DALI as a painter or as a surrealist.His pictures is being exhibited in Sakıp Sabancı Museum these days.I have reached some interesting information about him and I want to share with you!
Salvador Dali was born on 11th of May in 1904 in Spain.His brother died three years ago before Salvador's birth.Therefore;his dead brother's name was given to him,Salvador.In 1973, he wrote these lines: '' As soon as I was born, I began to walk on the footprints of a dead.While loving me,in fact my parents loved him.May be they loved him more than me...My father's love was limited and it gave me pain since the first days of my life.'' As we can understand these sentences,he was always kept in the background.Consequently, he always wanted to draw attention .For the sake of this,he pretended to be ill and hysteric.But these actions were usual for his family and they didn't react.
He drew his self-potrait called ILL CHILD at the age of ten.Later he began to take art lessons.In 1927,he met Picasso and then Sigmund Freud.His friends changed his life and sense of art. Afterwards,he fell in love with Gala.It was a big love,even when she died,he gave up painting that is his passion.

ABOUT ME :)

Last week,when I saw our teacher's message about introduction,I had already prepared my blog.Therefore;I am writing some things about me right now!
I am Özge AYDIN and I was born in Sinop.I graduated from Sinop Anatolian Teacher Training High School which has a unique aspect of sunset.My days that spent there was unforgettable.My all memories are still alive!But now,I am a student of METU and this was my only aim.I mean,SHOW MUST GO ON:)
I am interested in music so much.I can say music is my biggest passion.I love singing songs and listening to every kinds of music.Due to this,my friends gave me a name,''Music-Box''.I was playing the piano but I had to give up taking lessons because of the university exam and my busy schedule.Come what may,I will fullfil this dream one day!In addition to these,among my hobbies swimming and cooking has different places.I think,to relax and relieve stress,they are the most effective ways.And also I try to keep abreast of latest films or plays as much as possible.I hope,I will spare time for some more activities there.

THE GOD OF JUSTİCE AND ART;APOLLON!

Apollon was one of the biggest gods of Greek and impersonates music, art, justice, reality, wisdom and also medicine.Everybody admired Apollon through his power and beauty.Apollon had the whole skills which had identified as sacred and at the same time he was the god of light.Therefore; Greek called him as '' Phoibos'' which means bright and innocent.Apollon was abhorrent to darkness and devilry.

He was a son of ZEUS and his holy plant is daphne in memory of his love. He fell in love with a girl,Daphne, and wanted to marry her.But her father didn't accept this and converted his girl into a daphne tree.In this way, this plant became celestial for Apollon.

IS IT REAL OR JUST A FİCTİON?

We all know the story of it: A plane or a ship is gathering way happily and suddenly a disaster occurs!!! However, it has no answer and it can't be explained! WHY?

BERMUDA TRİANGLE which has a big reputation all over the world hosted a lot of mysterious events such as vanished ships or planes.Therefore;it is called cursed or the triangle of devil.

In fact, it has a scientific explanation.Scientists make evident that these phenomenons happened by reason of leakage of natural gas!! Due to Gulf Stream which carries hot-water to Atlantic Ocean,some interesting changes with the assistence of dissolution of some gas and materials come on the scene. But, most people are disappointed with this interpretation.Because,they want to go on thinking ''It is a real mystery!''

ANTALYA 45th GOLDEN ORANGE FILM FESTIVAL

ANTALYA 45TH GOLDEN ORANGE FILM FESTIVAL(10-19 OCTOBER,2008)

Plays and concerts which began to be held in Aspendos Theatre in the mid-1950's serve as a basis for Golden Orange Film Festival.People showed great interest in these entertainment activities and in this way it became a tradition.In 1963,Dr.Avni Tolunay would like to find a symbol for this festival and he decided on ''orange'' because of its importance in that region.Orange represents sea,historical elements and the sculpture of VENUS.Therefore; the festival was called ''GOLDEN ORANGE''.

In this year's festival,as it used to be,successful films are nominated for the best national grand film award such as Başka Semtin Çocukları,Hayat Var,İki Çizgi,Vicdan,Üç Maymun which was the winner of the best director award in Cannes Film Festival.As you all know it was a big success of Nuri Bilge Ceylan.(and I think we all remember his unique speech after winning:)In addition to these, there are some other categories for example documentaries or short films. I am sure that this year's festival will be great again!!
